Our summer associates are exposed to all aspects of the firm’s practice with opportunities to work and interact with a majority of the firm’s attorneys. Each summer associate is assigned shareholder and associate mentors, who work together to coordinate assignments, provide guidance, and ensure that each summer associate has a positive professional experience. In addition to research and writing assignments, every effort is made to allow summer associates to observe trials, mediations, depositions, hearings, closings, and client conferences.

Brackett & Ellis typically hires summer associates through the on-campus interview programs at selected Texas law schools. We also accept applications from students attending law school out of state. Brackett & Ellis considers on a case-by-case basis qualified candidates for a lateral hire from another firm, court or governmental agency. Brackett & Ellis is an equal opportunity employer.
