Brackett & Ellis, P.C. is very proud to announce that Andrea W. Paris has again joined the firm. A former associate of the firm, Andrea is returning to play a key role in the Brackett & Ellis School Law Section as a Director.
Andrea has over 10 years of experience as a labor and employment and education lawyer. Andrea has represented public school districts, private schools, and private businesses in state and federal litigation and before the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Education Agency, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Andrea has tried multiple cases in state and federal court, handled educator termination and nonrenewal hearings before Independent Hearing Examiners appointed by the Texas Education Agency, and argued before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has significant experience handling claims of: discrimination; sexual harassment; wrongful termination; retaliation; unpaid minimum wage and overtime; breach of contract; breach of non-disclosure, non-competition, and non-solicitation agreements. In addition to her litigation practice, Andrea has counseled human resources professionals, in-house counsel, and clients in all aspects of employment and education law, including: hiring; retention; termination of employees; internal investigations; pre-suit resolution of claims; the development, revision, and application of personnel policies; and other workplace issues.
Andrea is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law (J.D. 2013) and the University of Miami (B.A. 2009). Please join the firm in welcoming Andrea.
